New York’s All Right If You Like Saxaphones

Fear. Los Angeles hardcore punk rockers. Also seen in “The Decline of Western Civilization” and the “Repo Man” soundtrack. Back in the 80’s a lot of movies about New York features people on fire escapes playing saxaphones (e.g. “Moscow on the Hudson”). This was a sterotypical way of saying NYC is the home of the artistic, sensitive soul. Well, Fear didn’t think so highly of the city. They if you can’t laugh at yourself, you have a problem. I think this song is really, really funny. Take it in the context of the 80’s when NYC and LA were bitter enemies. I, personally, still hate LA.
